It is so hard to realize you dreams, but never give up, once you have settled it means you have lost your passion, your drive, your will and in a way who you really are.

Its the times that we have been knocked down, not once, maybe not even twice, but a third time that we see who we really are, are we going to settle or are we going to get up and fight again, its those moments that define us, not the moments where our heads are in the sky and we are on cloud nine, it the moments when we think we have hit rock bottom and couldn't be more miserable that truly define us. Keep on fighting, always get up and never forget who you really are, once you've settled, you are no longer that same person who fell down but was able to get back up. Lifes hard, but never give up

Like the title suggests...life isn't easy, but every once in a while we have to sit down and just think about how far we have come. Some days I think what have I done, I've worked so hard and has there been any changes. So since this is a soccer blog, I thought I would share with you all my journey so far.

As you can guess I have been playing soccer since I was very young. When I think back to what I was like then I can't even believe the boy in that picture is me. When I was younger I had so many dreams and really truly believed they would come true.

Now this is starting to look more like me. The most interesting thing about this picture and when I think back to those days...I have look a lot different than the boy in the first picture but I believed in the same things, my life was soccer, my dream was soccer and I believed in it so much.

Even though this picture feels like a million years ago, it was only 4 years ago, unfortunately after this trip to London I didn't realize that the dream of becoming a professional soccer player was slowly slipping away and my one regret for my soccer career was not realizing this early and not putting in that little bit of extra work that I needed...but this post is about never giving up right?

At this point in my life I was so set on being a professional soccer player that any accomplishment I had seemed small and unimportant. I wish I would have stopped and taken a second to realize all that i had accomplished and been proud of myself. Sometimes we are so caught up in our own lives we forget to be happy and forget to take a second say...Im proud of everything I've done

And now to present time, 19 and I wish I wouldn't had taken my childhood so seriously and had more fun and not put so much pressure on myself. Knowing that I would have been this unhappy because I have yet to achieve my goal that I set for myself is ridiculous  I mean I never once stopped and said good job to myself, or that I am proud, i only said "your still not there" or "this still Isn't enough" and thats wrong because we only have one life and we should never give up on own dream, I haven't, i just wish I would have enjoyed these 19 years a little more.

BE HAPPY and DONT LET YOUR DREAMS GET YOU DOWN, BUT NEVER GIVE UP ON YOUR DREAMS EITHER

Best soccer shoes ever

Over the year I have tried over 30 different soccer shoes in my career. In fact every season I get a new pair and without fail...15 seasons later (even though these shoes came out long after I first started playing) I always switched back to these classics. The new shoes are all about flash and marketing but we all know that the originals will always be the best. 

Where did he come from? Where did he go? Where is he going?

He started from nothing, was picked up (aka signed or drafted) by his local team and went on to be one of the biggest soccer stars of all time.

Cristiano Ronaldo really is an amazing story, to come from nothing and achieve your dream to the extent he did...that is inspiration for anyone regardless of what your dream is. Sometimes we feel as though we worked hard and was rewarded with nothing! We must remember not to give up, but to work even harder because you may not have achieved what you wanted, you may not have been rewarded, but you are closer now than you ever have been to realizing it.

No matter what they come out with...I know its a quality product, it is going to be comfy, stylish and more important I want it more than anything. Maybe Nike doesn't have the best soccer shoes but when you wear bright pink, or yellow, green, gold or even blue soccer cleats....you better be good.

Its a lifestyle

When you love a sport, whether it is soccer, hockey, football, basketball, tennis etc. it isn't just something you do to pass the time. It becomes an important part of your life, its becomes a lifestyle, the way your dress, the way you act the way you devote your time. I loved soccer since I was 3 years old and I'm sure other people have loved it for much longer than me. Sports is truly amazing because you could be from two ends of the world and connect with some one over a something as small as a sport.

It was not long ago that these two players were house hold names and dominated the soccer world.

Ronaldinho(left) and David Beckham(right) and two of the worlds greatest players. There will always be new players who come in and shine but we should never forget who once played on the field and who were the ones that gave us all inspiration. Their careers are not yet over, and that they shouldn't be, two amazing players that continue to inspire us all. We will never forget such greatness, and always continue to work hard with our idols in mind.

My personal choice

So in my last post I mentioned how Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are both fantastic players...well who i think is better...or the best is....

I believe that Cristiano Ronaldo is the best player in the world, and the reason being, that he is everything to his team Real Madrid. Where as Messi I believe is made to look good because of the players surrounding him...Ronaldo has himself, and by himself he triumphs. Both are great players, i just believe Messi has more help.

The debate is on-going...you decide

There is no question that Cristiano Ronaldo(Left) and Lionel Messi(Right) are the two best players in the world! The on going debate is that who is better? Their "stats" are similar, both have won the most prestigious soccer awards there are and on top of that they both play the two best teams in the world...who happen to be rivals. In fact the El Classico (Real Madrid vs Barcelona) are the most watched soccer games excluding the world cup and european cup finals. 

Little bit about myself

So my very first post, this is exciting. First let me introduce my self, my name is Nabeel Khudabux and I love soccer. I attended McGill University and play for the McGill soccer team.
